Edible Image Products

Using one or more of your favourite photos, brand logos or other images we can place on cakes or cupcakes for a truly "Wow!" personalisation. For non-vegan products, the images are placed on an edible disc to present flat on soft and moist icing surfaces. The taste is neutral but the "Wow!" of receiving image cakes and cupcakes can't be overestimated.

CUPCAKE EDIBLE IMAGE SIZES

All Cupcake Edible Images are round.

Mini Cupcakes Edible Image Size = 25mm diameter.

Designer Cupcakes Edible Image Standard Size = 35mm diameter. Can also be done as full cover discs in 50mm.

Custom shape edible images on cupcakes are possible, but at significant cost. Submit your enquiry via our Custom Order page or reach out to us on chat.

CAKE EDIBLE IMAGE SIZES

Our Edible Images featured cakes are available in round, square, rectangle and custom.

Small/Small+2 Round Cake Photo Image Size ≈ 100mm.

Medium/Medium+2 Round Cake Photo Image Size ≈ 150mm.

Large/Large+2 Round Cake Photo Image Size ≈ 200mm.

XLarge/XLarge+2 Round Cake Photo Image Size ≈ 250mm.

For square/rectangular cakes, take 1-2" off both the length and width of the cake to estimate image size.

CAKE PHOTO DISCS

Cake Photo Discs can accompany a non-edible image cake design (placed on the best base side of the cake) 50mm.

OPTIMISING YOUR IMAGE

Here are some important considerations when choosing the edible images for your order:

Cropping: The image will be cropped to the shape of the product, which in most cases is circular. Make sure the featured subjects of your photo won't be cropped out!

Bold beats detail: The matte paper and inkjet printing gives best results for bold clear images, rather than fine detail, especially on black backgrounds. Reach out to us on chat with your images if any concerns.

Bleed matters: Movements in the printer and cutter can result in 2-3mm shift in final cut edible image. We strongly advise against thin border circles at the edge of the image as it may be trimmed. Leave 2-3mm from the edge for bleed.

EDIBLE IMAGE LIMITATIONS

Edible Images are printed on a Matte Ivory Paper. We have a standard slight lightening of the image to offset the Ivory Paper, but regardless, images may appear different across different devices, paper and edible paper.

While we try to match as best we can, some variation in overall colour tone may occur.
